I'm running for local council because I believe you deserve a representative who shows up, does the homework on complex issues, and puts the unique voices of our distinct communities ahead of personal agendas.
About
My goal is simple: to engage with you face-to-face, turn your direct input into meaningful action, and build a sustainable foundation for our region's future.
I grew up working alongside my dad on our beef cattle farm north of Kingston, Ontario, so I learned at a young age that you fix what's broken and that you show up for your neighbours. Working for 15+ years on engineering projects from concept to implementation has taught me how to plan carefully, solve problems, and deliver results responsibly. Combined with a strong focus on financial prudence, I believe those skills would bring some much-needed practical value to the council.
South-Kent is where I met my wife, and Blenheim is where we have chosen to call home for 11 years now, with our two boys (4 and 6). I'm committed to making Chatham-Kent a great place for people to grow and prosper, because I truly believe that a strong community is one where everyone has an opportunity to succeed if they are determined and work hard. Giving back and being involved keeps you grounded and builds connection to the people you call home with. I've been privileged to serve on the board of directors of Linck - Child, Youth and Family Supports for two years, and I stay active on the recreation scene here in Blenheim, on the Blenheim Minor Baseball board and coaching both of my sons' baseball and soccer teams.
Whether people in Ward 2 vote for me or for one of the other candidates, my hope is that over this campaign I show you that I'm here to listen, work hard, and motivate you to get out and vote on October 26th.
A strong community is one where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
Priorities
These are the issues I hear about most across Ward 2, and where my experience can make a difference.

Chatham-Kent is becoming increasingly difficult for families, with the average house price nearing half a million dollars. Our current economic trajectory is unsustainable for the middle class. I plan to leverage my professional project-management experience to scrutinize public spending, direct your tax dollars where they are needed most, and protect young families and longtime residents from an unmanageable tax burden.

Situated right next to Lake Erie, Ward 2 faces distinct, severe weather challenges that affect everyone, from our rural farmers to urban residents who rely on municipal water and sewage systems. I will be a strong, vocal advocate at the council table to secure the long-overdue infrastructure upgrades that keep our community resilient against wild weather.

To thrive, Chatham-Kent must stay agile. We need to attract fresh external investment while lowering operational barriers and reducing costs for our existing small businesses. By supporting our incredibly skilled local workforce, we can build a strong local economy where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

The current administration has taken steps to assist our unhoused population, but we need to continue to build on the existing work done. This is not an easy task as it really packages multiple issues together around affordability, lack of affordable housing, and lack of funding to support individuals who need it. I will plan to engage with community partners and look to data-driven examples that have been successful in other areas of the province.

In 2022, municipal voter turnout was just over 30%. Local government shapes the decisions that affect your daily life, and your voice needs to be heard. I am committed to regular, face-to-face listening sessions across all corner communities in our ward.

Can you vote? You can vote if, on election day, you are 18 or older, a Canadian citizen, and you live in or own or rent property in Chatham-Kent (or you are the spouse of someone who does).
